Quelle album incroyable ! Freedom Street, Love & Unity, Close to You...
Just a century? I stumbled upon this gem at a thrift store a decade back and concur, it's got weak bass and zero bad songs.
I must've played this album a hundred times by now. Every track is a banger, and the bass on my copy goes crazy low.
Great pressing indeed! And I must say, the funniest album cover I've come across in my collection. I absolutely adore the woman holding the original cover. Her shirt saying "Special Reggae" is just brilliant. But what's the deal with that?! Was it just to appeal to the French crowd?! Or did Trojan somehow misplace the original artwork?
Fantastic Reissue, it might not have the depth & clarity of the 70's version but don't worry, the sound is a tad flat but not overly compressed and I genuinely like it. "Freedom Street" is definitely one of his finest albums, perhaps due to the magic between the artist, Warrick Lyn & Leslie Kong. Save your cash & enjoy this massive reggae classic!
