This sounds fantastic on my setup! I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the other versions' reviews, but whoever was behind the mastering of this one—we might never find out—did a stellar job overall. The volume level is just right, the soundstage is wide, the clarity is superb, and there's a wealth of detail. The record is well-pressed and (mostly) very quiet, with just a few hotspots here and there. It's not too bad, though, and I reckon most folks will be more than satisfied with this copy. Go ahead and purchase with confidence!
Absolutely flawless, the mastering, pressing quality, and the album itself are all outstanding. It's an amazing deal for the level of quality you get.
I'm gonna find a version of this album that doesn't skip at the beginning of Jacqueline one of these days... has anyone elses had this happen? The damn thing was fresh out the box.
I was really glad to find this when garage rock was starting to feel stale, and I just picked up a brand new copy. It still sounds fantastic!
Packed in with a narrow soundstage. I thought the pressing was genuine and didn't have the skipping problems that some others mentioned, but I gotta say it was quite grimy right out of the sleeve with tiny paper bits everywhere. The pressing itself I felt was solid, but it definitely needs a better mastering job.
