My copy is incredibly flat and well-pressed, but I feel the mix is a tad lacking in dynamism. The bass is rich and full-bodied, but everything from 1750Hz upwards seems a bit subdued and flat.
Casio & Heavy California are killer tracks! Jungle's outdone themselves again with this fantastic album! *includes a rad picture in the gatefold & comes with a custom inner sleeve too.
The problem with this pressing is that all the spindle holes are cut too big. I've returned two copies, didn't even bother with a third, and got my refund. Others have mentioned the same issue. Such a letdown... really disappointing, steer clear of this version.
I'm really hoping we'll see longer edits of Casio and California, at least. Come on, Jungle crew, it's way past 1977—four minutes is way too brief for the dancefloor these days!
