Was on the fence about picking this up since I already had the 3-LP reissue but TRUST ME: you need this too.
Pleasantly surprising. I've had bad luck in the past with gold wax. This is quiet and sounds great π
My copy is perfect. There's some surface noise that's not even close to distracting but both LPs are as flat as can be (my TT is extremely unforgiving when revealing warps). I have the deluxe 9LP but I had to grab this gold vinyl!
Excellent pressing! The vinyl is dead flat, silent, and clean. Chris Bellman did a top-notch job cutting these, as they sound analog and perfect. As with the 3 LP main release, these extra tracks sounds AMAZING! If you're a fan of the album but didn't want to splurge on the huge boxsets, this 2 LP release and the 3 LP main release are a suitable compromise.
I don't usually care for "alternate versions" of anything, but this album is a real treat. It has a live and spontaneous feel to it and sounds fantastic. The vinyl itself is very quiet and dynamic, a real aural treat.
