Not having the original eics vinyl, I was thrilled to grab the deluxe edition. I already had Sns and MBF, so I didn't mind missing an insert or poster—it would've been my fourth Sabrina anyway. That said, this release feels like it lacked care and attention. No gatefold, no printed sleeves, not even a tracklist... The hype sticker, which was meant to be heart-shaped but was just lazily cut, reads "emails i can't send fwd:" while the label says "deluxe"—technically accurate since it's on the pc on the cover, but it's still confusing and rushed that they couldn't settle on a definitive name for the pressing. The disc itself is beautiful, with a lovely color and gentle marbling on my copy. The sound quality is surprisingly good for 17 songs, though you might need to crank the volume as the mastering is quite low. There's minimal static or surface noise. It could've been better, but I'm happy to have the version with all the songs.
As many folks have mentioned, the audio quality is genuinely impressive and not compressed. I grabbed this for $20 on her site with free delivery, and I wouldn't spend more than that. No gatefold, no inner sleeves, no inserts, and no track-list (not even on the center labels). I'd choose sound quality over packaging every time, but this was clearly rushed. It's only worth it if you find a good deal.
I'm glad to have the extra songs on vinyl, but I do wish they'd put a bit more effort into this release. There's no insert, no alternative art for the back cover, and not even a tracklist. The record itself is beautiful, though, with a nice pink marbling on the ivory background.
To be truthful, the sound quality is decent, and I don't personally care about it being a single disc since it means fewer interruptions. However, I have to agree with others that this release feels quite budget-friendly. The plain inner sleeve, lack of a gatefold, and absence of an insert are surprising choices by Sabrina. Additionally, my copy arrived with no center label on the b-side, which definitely gives off a "rushed job" vibe. Disappointing, but I'm still glad to have the deluxe edition on vinyl.
Such a letdown of an album launch. Absent a track listing, no inserts included, merely a plain white cover. Plus, way too many tunes squeezed onto a single disc.
