Product description

Immerse yourself in the rich, resonant world of classical music with Mats Lidström's captivating album, "Edward Elgar: Cello Concerto in E Minor, Op. 85 - Rogelio Groba: Cello Concerto." Released in 1997 under the Fundación Rogelio Groba label, this chamber music masterpiece showcases Lidström's exceptional talent and the London Symphony Orchestra's prowess under the baton of Andrew Litton.

The album is a journey through Elgar's timeless Cello Concerto in E Minor, Op. 85, a work renowned for its depth and complexity. Lidström's performance is nothing short of breathtaking, with each movement—from the haunting "Adagio — Moderato" to the lively "Allegro — Moderato — Allegro, ma non troppo — Poco più lento — Adagio"—revealing the full range of the cello's expressive power. The concerto is complemented by Rogelio Groba's Cello Concerto, a lesser-known but equally compelling work that further highlights Lidström's versatility and artistry.

With a total runtime of 54 minutes, this album is a testament to Lidström's technical skill and emotional depth. Whether you're a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album offers a profound and enriching listening experience. Don't miss the chance to add this remarkable recording to your collection.
