F***ing awesome album, top to bottom, one of their finest and it sounds phenomenal!!!
Got any updates on the EU version? I gave the US one a spin, pressed by Circle U (URP), and it's far from their finest work—off-center drilling and loads of distortion. I sent it right back. Plus, they tossed it in the glossy inner sleeve (no scratch-proof one) and, surprise, the LP was already damaged by the time it arrived. As long as URP's handling the presses, I'm not shelling out for another US copy.
Hablando del disco, la carátula és impresionante y la imagen impresa del CD, igual de espectacular. Las canciones són increíbles! "The threat is real", "Dystopia" y "Fatal Illusion", las tres primeras del álbum, ya nos dan una idea de lo que nos espera: Seguramente uno de los mejores discos de Megadeth. Las nuevas incorporaciones al grupo, Kiko Loureiro como guitarrista y Chris Adler como baterista, han sido las más acertadas en mi opinión desde el Countdown To Extinction. Kiko nos muestra su increíble talento con sus potentes solos en todas y cada una de las canciones del álbum y Chris, en la canción "Lying in State", domina el doble bombo durante toda la canción, demostrando así su increíble habilidad. Para terminar, un disco de diez. Mi top 3 de canciones es el siguiente: 3- Dystopia 2- The threat is real 1- The emperor (obra maestra!)
Hey folks, what's the estimate on how many of these were made?
This vinyl is extremely poor quality, with all sorts of sound distortions, particularly on the left side. The disc was placed inside a glossy lyric sheet, so when I got it, there were scratches and fingerprints all over the vinyl. The hole wasn't centered properly and was too small, so I had to push really hard to get it onto my turntable. I'm sending it back and will buy the UK release instead, as their vinyl production quality is usually better in Europe. (Just to clarify, it's not my equipment that's at fault. I have a Technics SL-235 that works perfectly and I've taken great care of it for years, plus I have an almost new Audio-Technica VM440AL cartridge, which is excellent quality.)
