The hues are quite pleasant. I must say, I'm rather fond of the yellow shade. It seems to symbolize the southern region of Arrakis and the vibrant tribes that inhabit it. However, the pressing quality is a letdown. There are numerous irritating pops, particularly on side C. This issue was also present in the black edition, which I ended up returning. I opted for this colored version instead, but unfortunately, the problem persists. It's not as frequent, though, so I'm crossing my fingers that a thorough vacuum cleaning will resolve it.
Absolutely adore the music, but this is such a ridiculous way to package a double album. I don't want to see those low-quality images of the characters' faces, and I definitely don't need a gatefold that's longer than my arm. The plastic sleeves are a nice touch, though.
The music earns my five stars, but the physical copy is only worth three. After the mess that was Part One, this is a big improvement, but there are still some odd issues for a giant company like WB; the cover slip is too flimsy, the images are a bit blurry, the mirrored inner prints are just a waste, the anti-static bags are oversized and wrinkled showing a lack of care, and the worst part, the UNFINISHED VINYL EDGES, they needed a gentle sanding and a good clean. I get the redish golden vinyl choice, but that yellowish one (???) a clear with black swirl like the other edition would fit the Harkonnen world better, a see-through blue, a silvery to match the Corrinos...so many options instead of that yellow.
The initial vinyl sounds great, however the second one has some annoying noise on the opening track of side C.
Gorgeous vinyls and artwork, neat packaging, but poor pressing :/
