Often, I catch myself leaning towards Sun Ra's smaller groups. They feel more concentrated and less over-the-top than the big arkestra, yet they don't miss out on any of the enchantment and transcendence. "Disco 3000" also has that free-spirited spark. Absolutely a masterpiece.
Another top-tier Sun Ra album, truly ahead of its era once more, the beat programming and electronic sounds almost feel like techno, John Gilmore delivers his finest, absolutely motivating tracks! Classic
Avant-garde jazz experiment, the sound quality seems great to me, although I haven't got other pressings to compare it with. No warping here.
