Fantastic pressing - audio quality is top-notch. Adore this album and strongly recco it.
It's quite a challenge to come across jazz instrumentalists who were playing in the early 1920s, then releasing a themed bossa nova album 40 years down the line. Hawk takes it easy on the “new down beat from Brazil,” might seem a tad slow compared to bossa Verve albums from 1962, but the old pro still holds his own on the title track, and managed to weather many fickle fashion shifts to reach this session.

wow, what a press! it sounds amazingly good, i've used it with a stereo head and it plays very solid, big and clear. i highly recommend it
Came upon this gem last week - wasn't really on my list, but it absolutely should've been. The album is perfect, start to finish. If you're into laid-back, Bossa Nova jazz, this one's a must-listen.
