I noticed a couple of folks mentioning problems with the coloring on this record, particularly the absence of purple. My copy, though, turned out just right. Overall, it's not only a pleasure to watch spin, but it sounds fantastic too. I'd have been thrilled to see tracks like Jason's Song included, but the ones that are here are still incredible. I was overjoyed to find this in a physical format, and the visuals are simply stunning. It's definitely a standout addition to any vinyl collection. Moonlight will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I snagged the 'Made in Germany' edition from the latest UK store restock, and it's WAY WAY better than my old one I picked up from the US. The purple marbeling/swirly patterns are so much more vibrant compared to my US version that's nearly all black.
The sound is great, but the color is a bit off, as others have mentioned. It's such a dark purple that it can seem black, and one of the discs is almost completely void of any purple hue.
Amazing sound quality and one of the most gorgeous pressings I've ever laid eyes on. The photos don't do it justice at all. If you're considering getting it, just do it 😌 Oh, and by the way. Pretty sure you can snag it on eBay for around half the price of what folks are asking for it here.
