In my humble opinion, John Barry's musical score here is his absolute best. He's brilliantly encapsulated the tranquility and simplicity of the mid-western plains, where Native American Indians once lived freely, before the "White" man's arrival. The rich orchestral strings beautifully paint a picture of life's simplicity on the American Western plains.
