This LP by Weber is quite a departure from what I'm used to. He steps away from the usual ECM-Jazz, Jazz-Rock vibe, opting for more minimalistic pieces, particularly on side A, which I suspect will catch many fans off guard. My absolute favorite, Chorus Part III, is an absolutely breathtaking track that gives me chills every time. Eight minutes of sheer, beautiful excitement. In ECM terms, this leans more towards Barre Phillips, John Surman than the typical Garbarek, Jarrett.
