Product description

Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of Frédéric Chopin's masterpieces, reimagined through the virtuoso touch of Vlado Perlemuter. Released on September 16, 2013, by Emkay Remasters, "Chopin: Recital" is a captivating collection of seven iconic piano pieces, each a testament to Perlemuter's unparalleled artistry and deep connection to Chopin's music.

Spanning a duration of 48 minutes, this album is a journey through some of Chopin's most beloved compositions, including the ethereal "Barcarolle in F-Sharp Major, Op. 60," the enchanting "Berceuse in D-Flat Major, Op. 57," and the technically demanding "Etude in C Minor, Op. 10: No. 12." Perlemuter's interpretation of the "Ballade No. 2 in F Major, Op. 38" is particularly noteworthy, showcasing his ability to blend technical precision with profound emotional depth.

Vlado Perlemuter, a Lithuanian-born French pianist and teacher, brought a unique perspective to Chopin's works, having studied under the composer's last living pupil, Alfred Cortot. His performances are marked by a delicate balance of lyricism and power, making this album a true gem for both Chopin enthusiasts and classical music lovers alike.

The album's cover art, featuring "Récital Chopin par Vlado Perlemuter," adds a touch of vintage charm, hinting at the rich history and tradition that Perlemuter embodies. Whether you're a seasoned classical music aficionado or a newcomer to Chopin's works, "Chopin: Recital" offers an unforgettable listening experience that highlights the enduring beauty and brilliance of these timeless compositions.

This LP was released in 1962.
