In my opinion, this is Chico Buarque's finest album to date! It includes the powerful track Sinhá, a heartbreaking tale of a slave who was blinded by his master after she fell in love with him. This was exactly the album I needed to listen to today. It's a slow samba with a Bossa Nova flavor, reminiscent of Astrud Gilberto's style. Planning a beach trip? Bring these songs along and enjoy them with a refreshing "caipirinha". Feeling down, anxious, or stressed? Put on these tracks, and they'll work wonders to keep you healthy.
