This is an amazing album and recording! I'd highly suggest it to any jazz enthusiast. Each instrument is crystal clear, and the bass has a wonderful, rich depth. I'm looking forward to expanding my Mariano collection. It's great that these Japanese record labels are re-releasing vintage records, particularly in their original mono format. That being said, there's a bit of print through on this one. Occasionally, you can catch Mariano's sax playing the same notes just before he does, like an echo effect.

This is an amazing album and recording! I'd highly suggest it to any jazz enthusiast. Each instrument sounds superb, with the bass being particularly rich and deep. However, there's some print through on this one. Occasionally, you can hear Mariano's sax playing the same notes he's about to play, almost like an echo effect.
