I must say, this is absolutely fantastic, its incredibly deep sound makes it a must-have, i've listened to this a few times now, and the vinyl is just sharp and clear on my copy. I did have to wipe some paper dust off the record, straight from the factory, but that's just me being fussy. I wasn't expecting the etching on side D, that was a pleasant surprise.

Cynthia Erivo's "Ch. 1 Vs. 1" album builds on her triumphs in Broadway, movies, and television. I'm really into the opening track, "What in the World." It features a throbbing chorus with Erivo's voice expressing her dismay at the world's condition. The rest of the album, though, kind of blends together for me. Nothing is terrible, everything is well-executed, but for some reason, it doesn't grip me even after multiple listens. This CD is alright; the artist is fantastic. My complaints lie with the song choices.
