CAMEO is an amazing album! Without a doubt, one of Dusty's finest, featuring a collection of self-assured and polished tracks that perfectly suit her talents. The production has a strong Philly Soul feel that has stood the test of time beautifully. The vinyl sounds fantastic, with deep bass, excellent range, and a lush, detailed soundstage. My copy plays back smoothly with no detectable surface noise. I had to laugh when I saw the negative feedback for a recent reissue of this record. I snagged an original pressing in great shape for just $4. Why spend a fortune on poor quality reissues when you can find affordable originals that typically sound superior?

The packaging is gorgeous and the blue vinyl is a nice touch, but there is indeed a bit of hiss. Moreover, the tracks feel slower and lower in pitch. It's quite different from what I'm accustomed to on my CD and mp3. I'm surprised it was newly mastered at Abbey Road. It's not as good as last year's RSD drop of SEE ALL HER FACES.
