The album sounds absolutely fantastic. The pressing is a bit uneven. The mix and mastering are top-notch. The only issue is that I found more paper dust on this record than usual. There was a white line across the vinyl that I thought was a scratch. But after cleaning, the vinyl sounds fine and the line vanished. My setup: TT: Fisher MT-6225, Amp: Harman/Kardon hk495i, Cart: AT-VM95ml, Speakers: Tannoy C-8.
Holy cow! It's been ages since I've been this into an album. I'm obsessed with their sound, and his voice? Seriously, his vocals are out of this world (I'm not gonna lie, I'm a tad jealous of his skills because, damn!). I've got a feeling this vinyl's gonna see some serious action, 'cause I just can't hit that skip button!
Audio quality is impressive. No harsh 'S' sounds detected. Currently using an Ortofon OM 5e. Volume is high, yet clear, with minimal background noise (acquired it in excellent condition, though it was slightly grimy, so I gave it a wipe down).
Adore this album, it plays super smooth, has that signature smudge but it was sealed when we purchased it so I reckon it might've been one of the band, not sure if anyone else's is the same but I'll take the smudge as a sign of authenticity (did buy from a trusted seller)
Amazing album, and it sounds really nice too. Not too happy about how the LP clings to the inner sleeve though. Plus, on a properly adjusted turntable with a fairly new AT-VM95ML, the needle tends to slide across the lead-in on side A. Side B is perfect. Stylus pressure, alignment, and anti-skate all seem (as far as I can tell) to be correct. Never had this problem with any other record in my collection.
