Product description

Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of classical piano with Robert Casadesus' captivating album, "Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 2 - Mozart: Concerto for Three Pianos." Released in 2006 under the Urania label, this exquisite collection showcases the virtuosity of Robert Casadesus, accompanied by the Orchestre National de France under the direction of Alessandro Nava.

The album is a harmonious blend of two masterpieces: Johannes Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat Major, Op. 83, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Concerto in F Major for Three Pianos, K. 242. Brahms' concerto, a cornerstone of the romantic repertoire, is performed with profound depth and sensitivity, highlighting Casadesus' exceptional interpretive skills. The four movements of this concerto, from the majestic Allegro ma non troppo to the graceful Allegretto grazioso, are rendered with technical brilliance and emotional resonance.

Mozart's Concerto for Three Pianos, K. 242, is a delightful display of classical charm and wit. Casadesus, joined by Gaby and Jean Casadesus, delivers a spirited and nuanced performance that captures the essence of Mozart's playful genius. The concerto's three movements, including the lively Allegro and the serene Adagio, are executed with precision and elegance.

With a total duration of 1 hour and 9 minutes, this album offers a rich and satisfying listening experience. Whether you are a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, Robert Casadesus' masterful interpretations of these timeless works are sure to enchant and inspire.
