  • Shorty Rogers' Jazz Masterpiece

    5 out of 5 stars
    zxzifqJanuary 13, 2025United States🇺🇸

Shelly Manne, Marty Paich, Bud Shank, Art Pepper, Conte and Pete Candoli, Harry Edison, Maynard Ferguson, and Shorty Rogers himself on trumpet...plus even more top Hollywood studio cats laid it all out on this 1956 record...Most of the tracks were actually recorded three years earlier in 1953...Groovy arrangements, plenty of bold brass, and a driving, forward-moving rhythm makes this album really zoom down the tracks...Shorty was a legend and this LP shows why he knew what made an AMAZING jazz album...
