Disappointing Pressing, Brilliant Recording

This copy I've got is quite disappointing. There's a ton of surface noise all over it. To be honest, track A2 is just unbearable because of all the surface noise. Most of the time, the music's loud enough to drown out the noise, but during the quieter parts, it was just cringe-worthy. So, why give it 4 stars? Well, the mastering and recording are absolutely fantastic, with a really crisp sound. The sax tone is spot on and well-centered. The drums are great too, with amazing cymbal decay. The bass is clear and you can easily hear the plucking. Terrible pressing, but brilliant recording/mastering. 2 stars for the pressing, 5 for the recording, so they average out to 3.5 stars, which I rounded up to 4. Truthfully, I won't be listening to this again, even though I enjoyed the music. Cartridges: AT150Sa, AT VMN40ML
