Product description

Leonard Bernstein, the legendary conductor and composer, invites you to explore a rich tapestry of orchestral works with his upcoming album, "Bernstein - Orchestral Works from Bizet to Mahler." Set to release on August 28, 2025, under the UME - Global Clearing House label, this collection spans the classical genre, offering a duration of 1 hour and 48 minutes of exquisite musical journey.

The album showcases Bernstein's unparalleled talent and his profound influence on the world of classical music. It features a diverse range of compositions, from the fiery passion of Bizet's "Carmen" to the profound depths of Mahler's symphonies. Bernstein's interpretations of these works are renowned for their vitality, emotional resonance, and technical brilliance.

Highlights include selections from Bizet's "Carmen," such as the iconic "Habanera" and the dramatic "Toréador," as well as Bernstein's own compositions like "Appalachian Spring" and "Symphony No. 2 'Resurrection.'" The album also includes works by other notable composers, such as Copland, Elgar, Haydn, and Mahler, demonstrating Bernstein's versatility and deep understanding of the orchestral repertoire.

Bernstein's legacy as a conductor is unmatched, having led the world's major orchestras and leaving behind a rich legacy of recordings. His promotion of Gustav Mahler's symphonies, in particular, played a pivotal role in reviving interest in the composer's works, making them a staple of concert programming.

"Bernstein - Orchestral Works from Bizet to Mahler" is a testament to Bernstein's enduring impact on classical music. Whether you are a longtime fan or a newcomer to his work, this album offers a captivating exploration of some of the most beloved and influential orchestral pieces in the classical canon.
