Product description

Daniel Lozakovich, the young virtuoso violinist, presents his third album for Deutsche Grammophon, a captivating exploration of Ludwig van Beethoven's iconic Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61. This album is a testament to Lozakovich's lifelong connection with the piece, having first performed it at the remarkable age of thirteen, and now, bringing his mature artistry to the forefront.

The album features four tracks, including the three movements of Beethoven's concerto and a bonus track of Bach's Sonata for Violin Solo No. 1 in G Minor, BWV 1001. The concerto is performed with the Münchner Philharmoniker, conducted by the esteemed Valery Gergiev, promising a powerful and nuanced interpretation of this classical masterpiece.

Lozakovich's rendition is not just a performance but a journey through Beethoven's musical landscape. His playing is marked by technical brilliance and deep emotional resonance, making this album a compelling listen for both classical enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The album's duration of 48 minutes offers a concise yet comprehensive exploration of these timeless compositions.

Released on September 25, 2020, this album is a significant addition to Lozakovich's discography, following his acclaimed debut with Bach and subsequent release of Tchaikovsky. It's a must-listen for anyone eager to experience the profound connection between a young virtuoso and one of the most celebrated works in the violin repertoire.
