Product description

Wolfgang Schneiderhan, a renowned name in the classical music realm, presents a captivating album featuring two monumental works from the romantic era. This 2005 release on Deutsche Grammophon showcases Schneiderhan's virtuosity alongside the Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Claudio Abbado.

The album opens with Beethoven's Triple Concerto in C Major, Op. 56, a piece that demonstrates the composer's innovative spirit and mastery of form. The concerto's three movements, from the lively Allegro to the spirited Rondo alla Polacca, offer a journey through Beethoven's distinctive musical language.

The second half of the album is dedicated to Brahms' Double Concerto in A Minor, Op. 102, a work that exemplifies the composer's lyrical depth and structural complexity. The concerto's three movements, performed with exquisite sensitivity, highlight the collaborative artistry of Schneiderhan and his fellow musicians.
