I can't even believe how amazing this is. That drum part in Caravan is out of this world. BW truly shines here.
Among the best live albums I've come across. This version is outstanding. It truly transports you...
As mentioned in a prior Analogue Productions issue: A note on the outer sleeve says: "This is a live, straight-to-two-track analog capture with no extra takes. Consequently, there are a couple of minor audible hiccups. Most prominently, you'll notice a zip or scratch noise at various points on the "Stardust" piece, particularly at times 1:54, 2:00, 5:38, 6:22, 9:20 and 10:12. This is a recording imperfection and not a fault in your pressing. We trust that this slight noise won't detract from your appreciation of one of the finest live jazz recordings ever made.
I'm totally digging the style of this album. The sound quality is pretty awesome as well.
I ain't listened to other renditions, but this one hits the spot on my setup.
