Awesome album and band! Sadly, this reissue isn't a genuine stereo mix. The sound quality is a bit flat and it's heavily compressed. It would be fantastic to have a remastered version from the original tapes someday.
In 2025, I stumbled upon a copy at Subterraneo Disqueria in Iquique, Chile. It must've been gathering dust for a while. Pulling the record out of the inner sleeve was quite the task. The sleeve left behind a bunch of paper bits on the disc. Plus, there were some light scratches on the record—I'm not sure if they were from the sleeve or not. But I managed to get it out without ruining the inner sleeve. I gave the record a good clean with a Humminguru right away, and I must say, I was pretty pleased! The record was almost spotless and quiet, just a few tiny pops here and there, nothing major. The mix seems pretty decent for a reissue to me. I have no clue where the source comes from, but I'd definitely take a reissue over a noisy original any day, especially since the music is mostly smooth and I can see how background noise would ruin the experience. So yeah, I'd totally recommend this one, in my opinion.

This reissue is absolutely gorgeous. It arrives with a sturdy white inner sleeve, which seems a bit excessive, but also includes a double-sided insert. The vinyl is mostly quiet and it's a delightful listen. I'd be thrilled to have this one on pink vinyl!
