It's alright. After that, they kinda outdid themselves with every album they released in the 2000s.
I first got into this band during their "Brand New Eyes" phase. While revisiting their discography, I did enjoy the RIOT period, but I just couldn't connect with this album. Maybe it's because I wasn't around when it first came out to truly value this debut, or maybe it's simply not as strong as their later work. But every band has to begin somewhere, right?
This pressing is quite clean, with improved audio quality on a track or two compared to the digital version, but overall, it's just okay.
Good record, but Hayley's vocals are a bit buried under the music, particularly on side B.
The audio quality is quite muffled with a lot of background noise on both ends. I'm really let down by the sound, especially since I had to wait over three months for it due to two delays.
