This box set is absolutely fantastic! I must say, I'm really digging the extra tracks on sides D, E & F even more than the ones on the standard 2LP version (sides A, B & C). Booker T is phenomenal! People are missing out if they haven't heard this. La Llorona is a personal favorite, and the band nails it perfectly. Gerald and Julian have this amazing chemistry that shines through. The records were pressed flawlessly, with no surface noise, and the sound is almost identical to the CDs. I'm not a huge fan of the odd parts on the DVD, but overall, it's really good. The book is fantastic too, with great photos of Charles and a bunch of other musicians I'm not familiar with! It's usually a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth every penny. I grabbed a copy 3 years after it came out and ended up with #123.
Gorgeous box set! The book's photos are truly lovely, and the whole package is put together so nicely, with each record having its own sleeve. The sound quality is amazing, and LP3 is absolutely phenomenal. Shenandoah and Sombrero Sam are just outstanding. It's also really neat to listen to Charles playing along with Booker T's Green Onions.

The tunes on this album are fantastic, really well and thoughtfully recorded. My copy has a few bothersome pops here and there, even after cleaning it. So, it's not flawless. The actual track listing for my version is the one from this link: https://www.discogs.com/Charles-Lloyd-8-Kindred-Spirits-Live-From-The-Lobero-Theater/release/15017382 A1 Dream Weave B1 Requiem B2 La Llorona C1 Part 5: Ruminations D1 Abide With D2 Song For Charles D3 Island Blues
